  Binkie got prescribed Imodium along with Metacam for what’s likely a GI Stasis. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with that Imodium before? Again, I have no exotic specialists where I live, so it’s a little uncertain how experienced they are with the complexity of rabbit health.
  
  Update on his condition since 2 days ago: Metacam is helping with his pain, and I’ve been feeding him leafy greens, Critical Care, and water. He finally had some small, soft poops 6 hrs after his diarrhea episode earlier – but still not back to his normal poop and still has a bloated stomach.

  Bloated stomach and poop irregularities can persist for a couple of weeks after a bout of stasis. Don’t massage a bloated belly, there are very delicate structures in there.
  
  Imodium (loperamide) slows the gut and it’s used for true diarrhea in rabbits. There’s quite a lot of documentation regarding it’s use in rabbits. It’s a life-saving measure because a bun with true diarrhea is a true veterinary emergency – rabbits can go downhill very fast.
  
  Don’t give imodium if the diarrhea has stopped and there are formed poops (albeit perhaps not perfectly formed), you don’t want to slow down the gut too much in a rabbit.
