It has been over two weeks since Lilo’s brother passed away. He seems very lonely, so yesterday I submitted an application to adopt a rabbit and was approved. The rescue told me I can take Lilo in any time and we can get some bunny dates going. However, I am planning on taking a trip to visit family (3h car ride) for 4 days, I was going to bring Lilo along because he’s a single rabbit now and while I have a bunny sitter, she will only be available for 40 min twice daily which isn’t enough human interaction time for 4 days straight.

Is it wise to adopt a new bunny and take this trip as an opportunity to do stress bonding? I don’t have a neutral territory in my current apartment (just my bathroom, but Lilo has definitely been in there a few times). Or would this be too stressful? If it is I will take him on bunny dates afterwards. I just hope the trip isn’t too stressful for him alone.
