Hi everyone,
Joey has just started showing some strange behavior. I got back to my house today to find him acting totally normal. We sat together, and he started quietly “wheezing”. It wasn’t loud, and I’d barely call it wheezing as it wasn’t every breath; just every once in a while and only when he’s loafing/sitting. He seems to also be coughing up flem, although I haven’t seen anything come up. He seems to cough something up, chew it, and go back to his shenanigans. Also, h has no other symptoms. No runny nose, eating and drinking as normal, hopping around as usual. I’m quite worried as I don’t know if this could signify a respiratory problem. His breathing seems a bit “wet”, but once again, there’s no runny nose. I’m a bit confused, and have emailed the nearby rabbit vet already. There’s been a recent drop in temperature, but he lives indoors so I wouldn’t think that to be the problem. However, he lives in the basement, which does get colder than the main floor. Any ideas or experiences would be helpful, thanks!
