Hey guys my bunny is sick!  He hasn’t been eating much over the past day and has had diarrhea (which isn’t totally uncommon because he’s had intestinal problems since birth) but something is clearly wrong because he is lethargic and will barely move. He had some solid poos yesterday but they were very small. He ate some kale last evening because I noticed he hadn’t ate much during the day so I gave him some because its his absolute favourite treat and he ate a bit but didn’t finish which is out of character for him. I made him a little bed and he just lay on it and has made no effort to get up. I’m going to the vet at 11:30 but was just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or knew of anything to help him? I was thinking gi stasis but am unsure  . His partner bunny is very protective and watching over him right now.TIA

It sounds like GI Stasis – you said he had digestive problems since birth. What does his daily diet consist of? Rabbits should not have diarrhea, and it is considered an emergency when they do.

Definitely sounds like stasis. Very good on you for going to the vet. I hope the baby gets better (((((vibes)))))

It does sound like GI stasis. Some buns are more prone to it than others. It’s good you’re taking him to the vet because the sooner you start treatment for this sort of thing, the better.
