My otherwise lovely and healthy little Iguie (Caligula), a two year old Netherland Dwarf bunny, poops absolutely everywhere when let outside of his cage. At our previous house, due to work schedules and girlfriend’s paranoia, he was not allowed out as often. Now that he’s with me in a new place, I give him plenty of time to run about. Despite a litter box (which does use), he also poops everywhere else on the floor. He does not learn. When relegated to the small area with his litterbox inside, he chews the gate to get out and makes irritated noises. He doesn’t seem to learn.
He also insists on jumping up on the couch. Which would be no issue, if it were not ALSO a poop collection for him. One night I fell asleep on the couch without putting him back in his cage; as almost a sign of insolence, he proceeded to jump on my sleeping body and poop and pee all over the blanket. He does not respond to vocal commands or the spray bottle. He’s just a little rebel.
Any help?
