  Hai I need help I have a bunny shes a girl and I have been with her for over a year now, shes healthy and I have never spayed her but I brought other bunny home, a female one too i have tried to let them bond with each other but the first bunny I had is being territorial and jealous she starts peeing everywhere marking territory, she growled at the new one we brought home and every time we try to let them both play together one ends up chasing and mounting the other to show dominance we quickly separate them so they wont get hurt, the new bunny does get along with other bunnies is just the one I had shes been alone for a year so I guess this behavior is normal like if the new bunny is a threat to her. She has never been like this she’s always relaxed and calmed. I was thinking about getting her spayed maybe this would help with her behavior,shes always doing a buzzing sound when shes around me and today she started to bite my clothes i need help to know what would be the best thing to do in this case.

  The biting you, buzzing, and circling is her trying to mate with you Her behavior is purely hormonal. Youll need to separate them (the more they chase and bite, the less likely they will ever bond in the future) and have them spayed asap. You dont spay them just to avoid hormonally driven behavior, but also because females are prone to uterine cancer which will only cause a painful death if not caught in time

  Your rabbits should be kept completely separate right now. You do need to have both rabbits spayed before you try to bond them. It is dangerous to put unspayed or unneutered rabbits together. They can fight and severely injure each other. After they are spayed, you will need to wait about a month before attempting bonding, so that the hormones will have settled down.
