Hi all, we have a rabbit between 1 year to 18 months (Californian White), we got him from the shelter. He is litterboxed trained and does well in general with that (he has lots boxes in the house including one next to the problem area now). He is fixed. He has a large cage but has run of the house while we are home (which is most of the day as we homeschool). We’ve got 3 kids ages 9 and under.
He has 2 spots one on the end of the couch and one on the floor next to that end of the couch (next to the table with the fish tank) that he keeps peeing on. I’ve cleaned the sofa and the floor, with and without vinegar. Hasn’t helped. We tried a “slapper” noise thing at the advice of the vet. Didn’t help, he was unfazed by it. This has been going since we got him 6 months ago so I don’t think it’s a faze. The spot on the couch isn’t anyone persons spot so I don’t think that is the problem. We placed a box over the problem area on the floor so that issue is solved.
Looking for suggestions to get our lovable but stubborn bunny to stop this behavior. Thanks.
