rabbits can get fleas. I’m not sure if there’s a difference in types of fleas though. When we brought our boy home he had fleas since the place he was born was infested. Since we didn’t have fleas in the house we just gave him a quick bath and they went away after a while. They do make flea shampoo for rabbits but baths can be very stressful so unless you know your buns don’t mind, I wouldn’t push that idea too much. We did buy a bottle of flea spray for him but never used it as the fleas just went away so I’m not sure if it really works. if you do notice the buns have developed a flea problem you can get meds just like for a dog. our vet wouldn’t make us bring them in if we needed flea meds so that at least would take away the office visit charge but I don’t know how much the meds themselves cost. make sure you check that its rabbit safe before applying to your buns. a rabbit savvy vet wouldn’t give you something harmful but its better to be safe than sorry.
however, it sounds like you haven’t seen the fleas on them yet, so I would start with a flea spray. you can spray this on them and it should deter the fleas from settling on their fur. Obviously wash your bedding and get the dog treated. But even if the rabbits do get some they are treatable. there are also various flea treatments for furniture and carpet but I have never checked if they would be safe for the rabbits to come in contact with. If you do find something that is rabbit safe as always once you use it keep a close eye on them to make sure they don’t have a reaction. even if it says rabbit safe one can react differently just like people tolerate things differently
