If you are going to be keeping them indoors with access to air conditioning in summer and heating in winter, which breed you get in terms of climate does not matter. Bam is right about the Angora breed, they are a lot of work, requiring daily grooming and I never recommend someone getting them as their first rabbit. Especially if you might be getting two, you instantly have a lot more work on your hands. Other short hair breeds of rabbit do well with a weekly grooming, or once daily when shedding.
Flemmish Giants are a good breed, very laid back but their size also presents other obstacles when it comes to bunny proofing and the supplies you will get for them.
To decide on breed, I think you need to look at what sort of commitment you want to put into your rabbit (in terms of daily grooming) and what space you have to accommodate for a larger breed or smaller breed, and what fits in well with your lifestyle.
