Bunita loves to chew things she shouldn’t. She particularly enjoys chewing wood like baseboards or even the door. She’s actually scraped a layer of paint off our bathroom door and it obviously concerns me.
I don’t like her chewing on our stuff but I’m fairly certain eating paint isn’t particularly good for her health.
I want to go to the store and buy some wood that’s safe and isn’t a part of the house but I’m not sure if there’s a point. I’m reading that rabbits aren’t interested in boring wood, however she seems to really enjoy destroying things that haven’t moved since forever.
I thought of building a little box or something for her to crawl around and explore but I don’t know…
Suggestions?
Also I’m pretty sure the reason she likes to gnaw on the door so much is she knows it’s what seperates her from the rest of the house when we put her away. She’s loose in our bathroom while we work on bonding her to Unibunny and as soon as we open the door she tries to race out so I’m guessing she’s just trying to eat her way through the barrier…
