  As most of you will know, Tisha my cat has been fighting a downhill battle with mouth cancer since mid-June this year.
  
  Today she joined my rainbow dog Kyra (lost only last Nov) and I hope they’ve found one another and are making mayhem together!
  
  When Kyra went, I was an inconsolable end-of-the-world mess as she was a physical part of me, of who I am. She came everywhere with me and in some circles I was just known as “Kyra”‘s mum ! People did not recognise me if I was not attached to her lead.
  
  The Kyra-sized hole in my life has still not healed.
  
  Tisha has broken my heart but in a different way. I know in time my sadness for Tisha will heal.
  
  So this was just extremely sad but expected. And the house will be very quiet now (except for the kitchen when Zou still runs riot ! ).
  
  Here are a few piccies to remember my Rainbow family (because they are “family”, aren’t they?!) :

  She has just such a pretty face.
  I’m so sorry you’ve had to say good bye to your beloved kitty. I hope her passing was peaceful.

  That’s so lovely that Kyra and Tisha were so close. I supposed it gives you some comfort knowing they’re reunited.
  
  I also agree, they absolutely are family.

  Tisha had a great life with you and Kyra and Zou.
  I hope she’s with Kyra and Yohio and my bridge dog Nala and all other bridge pets now.

  They are my favorite kind of family. That photo of Tisha in your arms brought me to tears. I’m so sorry you had to say goodbye.
  
  She lived a happy life and she gave you happiness. That’s a life well-lived.

  it looks like I’m squeezing the bejesus life out of her, but she used to crawl up there on her own and then crawl through the tiny space in my arms before she then played superman !!! For hours !!

  I’m very sorry for your loss, she had mouth cancer and I don’t mean this in a nasty way, she’s better now and can happily play with Kyra again

  Grace (rainbow piggy) was diagnosed with a mammary tumour only ten days after her sister Silky was put to sleep due to an abscess, and I’m sure grief played a significant part in the rapid onset of Grace’s illness. Because Grace was already grieving deeply for her sister, I felt it was kinder to put her to sleep there and then. She had lost a quarter of her body weight in those ten days and I felt she had no fight left in her and it was the best for her.
  
  Tisha fought bravely for many months, and today she ended that fight and no doubt is having fun playing with Kyra on the other side of the bridge. It is never an easy choice, but I think you’ve made the right one to set her free once she struggled with even a few mouthfuls.

  She was so beautiful Vienna. I feel like we really got to know her since you’ve been a part of BB. I’m sorry your time together couldn’t be longer. We all wish it could be longer. I still hear my dog at night and look behind the door when I come home. I agree, they ARE family. When someone shares your life with you for so long, how could they not be?

  Vienna, thankyou for sharing Tisha with us. I really like that second pic of her reaching out because her personality seems to jump right out at us. She is beautiful and can never be replaced. Sending hugs to you.

  I’m am so very sorry for your loss of Tisha. Such a tough situation, knowing it’s coming, and knowing when it needs to be done, it still never feels right, giving up such an important part of one’s life. You did everything you could for her though, and as others have said, she now joins Kyra
  
  Once again I am so very sorry for your loss, she was such a beautiful cat. Rest in peace, Tisha.

  What an expressive face she had. Maybe she did want to follow her best buddy, I have known animals like that. They are running together now. So sorry for your loss.
