My Dutch lady Feefee has a very ugly toe nail. It seems flaky and has blackness/bloody spots on the inside. It’s been like that for a while, we figured she injured it in the past. It looked like an injury near the skin months ago and now it’s growing out. I’ve messed around with it and she never appears to been in pain, or flinch or pull it back. It’s got what looks like scab on it also, now that we can look at it closer since growing out. It’s pretty scaley, I’ll try to get a photo up. We were trimming her nails the other day and it was long so I trimmed it a little and she squeaked and flinched, so I know it hurt a little
It did not bleed, but it never hurt her before. Any advice? I’m going to try and get a really in depth look; it also appears (from what I remember) the new nail near the skin looks like it’s growing out OK. I’m hoping it continues to grow out, but it’s flakey and splitting and speckled with dark spots. Any advice is appreciated!! I hate to see her uncomfortable!!!!
