  My foster bun (just came home yesterday) and was previously living in a cage w/ no enrichment. He’s a full grown adult with no signs of advanced age, but other than that I don’t know how old he might be. He is the most hormonal bunny I have ever met, he is constantly seeking something/someone to mount, to the extent that he’s rarely able to fully relax. He was circling the corner of the table cloth for hours, I thought he’d eventually tire of it, but finally I had to fold it so that it didn’t hang so low b/c he just wouldn’t stop. The second I walk into his room he’s circling, honking, biting, and leaving urine/droppings all around me. I’ve been volunteering in shelters for years, and while I’ve obviously seen some seriously sexually frustrated bunnies, this poor guy takes the cake. I feel so bad for him! It must be maddening to feel this way.
  
  I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this level of fixation and how much of a change I can expect after he’s neutered? I’m anxious for this poor guy to get some relief from these feelings, but I’m worried that they are so severe they might not be fully reversible.

  I have a bunny who was fully adult when he was neutered. I had him neutered because he developped a serious crush on my dog. He pursued her every waking hour, he circled her, nipped her, never left her side. We tried to block him from her, it made him madly unhappy and he frantically tried to gnaw through the baby gate separating them. He didn’t get a moment’s rest, poor darling.
  
  2 weeks after the neuter, he’d forgot about his crush. He also stopped per-and poop marking her spots on the sofa and her own bed. That took a bit linger though.
  
  I don’t know if all bunnies react like my Bam, and he never showed a romantic interest in anything or anyone but my dog – but having your bunny neutered is your best bet imo.
  
  Some bunnies get worse hormonal wise for a period after the neuter -that’s known as a post/neuter craze. It generally subsides after 1-2 weeks.
  
  Since he’s an adult, he might recover a little slower than a very young boy does. I had to syringe-feed my Bam pellet mash and give him a hot water bottle to snuggle up to. He was all right again after 2 days.

  Unibunny was never really THAT hormonal. He left poops around, Did have a fascination with my parents cat but other than that wasn’t too bad. However after neutering him he was completely fixed of that. Almost a year later we got him a girlfriend and although he humped her to try and be dominant there was no “inappropriate” behavior or attempts to actually mate
