So as you’re probably sick of hearing, my boy is still sick.
And all he wants are greens, when I offer him hay he looks genuinely offended and he’s rejecting his pellet food for the most part. He’s nibbled a bit everyday, but if he sees greens he wolfs them down (like I’ve been starving him)
The baytril has had him off his food, so I have no doubt that he IS very hungry. (He went from 2.5 kg to 1.8 kg in the 2 weeks since he started the heavier dosage)
But all I keep thinking is how their diet should be mostly hay, but the only type of roughage he likes are the Naturals boredom breaker type hays, the one he currently has contains: Green oat, green wheat, parsley, melissa, peppermint, nettle, dandelion, camomile.
But I doubt they are very good for him…He likes the other versions of it aswell but here’s a link to it

I’ve offered him every type of hay I can find in the shops, and only the treat ones are ‘acceptable’ (ive tried mixing it in but he just digs it out)
Im wondering is it okay to let him just have his way? And give him as much of this and fresh greens as makes him happy?
