  Hi there,
  
  I’ve noticed lately that my 4-year old Dutch bunny, Lily has had a faster than usual heart rate (or so I think). My partner told me I am paranoid, which I sometimes may get, but I took a video of her and calculated the number of beats and got an estimated 260 beats per minute.
  
  I sometimes just look at her and know what her normal rhythm looks like. It seems a lot faster now. It’s been like this for a two weeks or so and I am concerned. I am going to go to the vet this upcoming week.
  
  However, in the meantime I would like to reach out here and see if anyone has experience or expertise with this. Maybe I am misinterpreting the rhytm/rate. Please let me know what you think. Is this normal and I am just a bit paranoid?

  According to medirabbit, normal parameters are 112-300 bpm. Textbook of rabbit medicine gives 130-325bpm as normal rate.
  
  So she falls within that range. Could she be more alert at the moment with something in the environment?
  
  Has she had any medications or anti parasite treatments in the past few weeks?

  Thanks for the input. Nothing has changed in the last 8 months or so. No medications. No apparent change other than this.
  
  It appears that this is the respiration rate and not the pulse. I will be taking her to the vet tomorrow to have her checked out.

  If respiration, then yes, definitely get her checked out.
  
  What about her weight? Has she put on more recently?
  Have you been experiencing warmer then usual weather?
  Have you noticed any changes with her eyes? Do they appear to bulge more or is the third eyelid more visible at times?
  
  Archer asks a good question also.
