        Hi everyone,

Today while I was visiting the rabbit room, I noticed that Joey has left little pee “drops” in a few places around the room. There wasn’t much, very pale yellow, and no scent. He has only left it in four places as far as I can tell, and three of them are in the same area. Other than that, he is behaving normally (eating hay, pellets, pooping and peeing as normal). He’s neutered, but his territorial habits kick in sometimes, which I’m guessing is because of his age (he’s only around four months old). He’s pretty much litter trained, but sometimes sprays me and the couch, and leaves poops in other areas other than his litter box. I’m worried that this could be a urinary tract infection, but then again it could be a false-alarm. Any ideas?

          Hey Joey,
I was about to post about something similar to this! I don’t have all the answers but I have some.

UTIs are painful for bunny; Is he wincing while peeing? Struggling to urinate? Urinating often? Most importantly is there blood in the urine?

If you can check, look at his pee parts. Are they inflamed or has he groomed them strongly, ie any missing fur?

          Those are further UTI symptoms….

My Georgie left little dribbles just this Wednesday on a step tower castle I had made for her. Little drops on each step annnd then inside the brown paper bag she was playing in. Along with some other peeing out of place behaviour (where she maintains eye contact with me) I think it’s territorial and/or making a point.

The tie breaker in my situation is that, for the last 2.5 day, when I put Georgie back in her enclosure-condo she uses her litter box perfectly.
