        Hi!

I purchased a baby gate with bars that are too widely spread. We have two buns who dislike each other and it is very important that we make sure they cannot make any form of contact. In the past my husband and I would cover the gate with wire mesh to prevent them from touching and that worked great! Now we are about to have a baby and wire mesh isn’t exactly baby friendly.

I was wondering if anyone had advice on something we could put on the gate to cover up the bars. We thought about attaching a piece of wood but our rabbits would chew it.

You could use a piece of perspex to cover the gate. It’s a hard plastic so not easily ruined, and the surface is completely smooth so safe for baby and you can still see through to what’s on either side

Probably similar to Azerane suggested, but you can buy banister protector which is clear plastic that is made for stair banisters by one of the baby safety companies.
