Hazel cracked me up with a Jimmy Kimmel bunny PSA, so inspired, I thought I’d show off Chewie’s stash:

Thanks, Jersey! Although I feel like I cheated with this “just add water” box.
(Too bad it smells like poo once wet…)

I must try and find one of these – we have no grass in our garden unfortunately and this is a great idea.

These are great indeed, buns love them. It looks quite a lot like regular cat grass though, which is what I used to give Breintje a treat. Until he climbed up on the window sill, and ate everything with roots and all. Oh well…

I bought garden grass seeds (about 5 euros for a huge box that will last me ages, this kind: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynodon) and periodically grow grass in two pots inside home. When the grass is over, I plant some more seeds and so on. They don’t take long to grow, so I have fresh grass for Kuro to graze about one month, then couple of week growth, and so on.

I was suggested to grow it in low flowerpot saucers, but he would then dig in there and make a mess (and kill my grass! grrrr), so I settled for a wide, 15cms tall plastic flowerpot.

You can also just grow wheatgrass too, I think it’s usually fed after about 10 days of growth (from memory). Pretty sure that bagged wheat from a feed store would germinate and would be really cheap

This year, i’m planning on getting a huuuge rectangle pot and growing a bunch of wheat grass for Reese to run around in so I can just open a window and I don’t have to take her outside when it is super hot out. I always think of stuff like this, but it never ends up happening. It will this time! …I think…
