Hi all! We just got our first indoor bun and although I’ve had 5 bunnies through out the years, this week I’ve been peed on more times than all the buns combined- which is actually the twice to seventh times ever.
Timtam only came home a week ago, and although I know some of this is from him being young (9 weeks) and he has not been neutered, I want to make sure I’m not encouraging this behavior. He’ll sit with us on a towel in our laps but there’s not been an indication from him it’s pee time so it’s hard to catch him early and pop him on the litter. Although it’s a little gross, would not putting him back in the hutch right away help him realize laps aren’t a place to pee / if you make a mess you have to deal with it? Since he’s young should we just limit lap time to 15 minute sessions until he’s a bit older and fixed?
I went through some past threads and most were about spraying and marking- this I’m pretty sure is just peeing.
Thank you for any advice you can give us! We’re in love with him and this forum has made bringing him home and getting everything set up so much easier
