I got Sampras and Yumi to bond shortly after bringing Yumigami home, about three months ago. Samp is a male and Yumi is female, both about a year (but I think she may be older)
She got neutered and he had his teeth out and they both have stitches in their tummies( Sampras got mistaken for Yumi and they a started the spay on him.) since Tuesday. I’ve been having a nightmare keeping them quiet. -theyve been confined to their cage when they normally spend 5-6 hours a day running around the house.
Yesterday morning the were bickering, chasing each other around the cage and nipping (no fur bulling, no actual biting. Just lots of grumpy faces and ears back) Anyway i intervened, and set up their pen to give them a bit of freedom to get out of each others way. And they went back to normal.
They woke me up again this morning bickering. Again I stepped in, (loudly announcing Ah-ah bunnies! will break it up) and after a couple of pets from me to make sure no-one was hurt they are back to being friends, lying snuggled up to one another and lots of bunny licks.
Anyone have any ideas whats going on?
