Hey guys, I recently got a dwarf lionhead bunny named Philip about a couple months ago. He’s amazing and I’m so happy to have him in my life! I got him when he was around 8 weeks old and now he should be almost 4 months old.

Over the past couple weeks, he has started to urinate and drink excessively. I use to change his litter box only once or twice a week, but now I have to change it every single day because he fills it completely with urine. I use about a 1 inch layer of litter. It’s very frustrating because I’m flying through the litter bag and he definitely wasn’t like this before. I also noticed he drinks a lot more water sometimes. He can finish his 32 oz bottle within a day or two when before he would maybe only drink half of that.

Also, he might not having too much control over his bladder anymore. He pees a lot more frequently outside of his cage and outside of his litter box, varying from a small amount to a normal amount. Sometimes he’ll pee in his cage and not in the litter box and he seems upset because he doesn’t want to be in his cage with the urine. I noticed his urine looks healthy, usually clear or yellow.

I made a vet appointment for Monday, but I just wanted to know if you had any idea what this could be. He’s not neutered yet. His behavior, eating habits, and poop all appear healthy. Thanks!
