  I have a new adopted bun. She was deemed territorial and a biter. If i stick my hand into “her” area too fast she’ll bite. Ok, I get that.
  
  My question is regarding this situation…
  
  A couple times she’s gotten into things she shouldn’t have and I gently push her away (e.g. she jumped onto my bed and tried to eat crackers. I take the crackers away and gently push or block her off my bed). She then circles my feet rapidly and eventually bites and bites. I literally have to run and she’ll try to run after me biting – I ended up running into the bathroom and shutting the door. Sometimes, afterwards, she’ll then try to hump one of her friends.
  
  She was spayed 3 months ago. I previously had a bun where I could tell the hormones was still there after a few months. Is this still hormones? Or something else? If something else, what can I do? One of my previous would bite and latch on and I learned to walk slower until she acclimated and we bonded. However, this bun keeps attacking my ankles regardless if I just stand there or if I try to move away.

  It can be hormones. Circling and biting, then humping a ton certainly sounds hormonal. Some girls need 6 months before their spay “takes effect”. (Behavior-wise, they obviously can’t get pregnant).

  Aside from hormones, it could also be a demand for attention. If the bun was getting on the bed and was then upset enough to nip your ankles that could have been her way of saying “Hello, peasant, this is time for my love. You must pets or I punish you.” But, it does sound quite a bit hormonal to me, too.

  Mine haven’t gotten to be that daring yet. they’re still in the gently putting their head under my hand stage.

  It could just be that your bunny is a jerk. i have a netherland dwarf and theyre known to be the chihuahuas of the bunny world since theyre so small. mine always bites me for no reason and is really picky about the way you handle him. I have a few scabs on my hand at the moment from him. my sugguestion to you would be to stop the behavior before it starts. with my bun i have begun to realize the face he gets before he begins to cause trouble or situations where he has been known to cause trouble and i have found the most success with stopping the biting behavior before he even gets to the point. It doesn’t stop him from being a brat and i will forever have to be cautious around him but whats a bunny mama to do :/. as such maybe give him a warning besides pushing him aside. somepeople use loud noises or big motions or even a water gun. I would also prevent your bunny for getting at your food in the first place. I also tend to keep towels around me incase he has one of his “episodes” so that i can just toss it on him to shush him instead of you having to run to the bathroom each time. each bunny is unique so it may not work but its something you can do. goodluck
