Hi all,
Me, my wife, and the two buns, will be moving soon. Both of rabbits are about 3 years ago and are cage-free. We currently live in a town home that has carpeting throughout the house except of kitchen. This has been great, as it gives the buns free range of movement throughout the upstairs and downstairs. However, the single family home we are moving two has hardwood throughout the house. We’ve already purchased some rugs and some rug pads in anticipation, with the goal of buying more once we get moved in and settled. We had heard that without carpet or rugs, buns that live on hardwood floors tend to development arthritis and lord knows that’s the last thing we want. But can living on hardwood floors also cause bones to fuze? Even now my wife worries that the rabbits jumping off of our bed into the carpet (after they are done getting treats and even though we have pet stairs leading to/from the bed) is going to cause their bones to fuze? Any truth in this?
