I just got a 3 month old male holland lop who was completely healthy according to the breeder. When I brought him home I noticed he kept sneezing multiple times in a row and it looks like clear snot is coming out of his nose. After 2 days he has gotten better but continues to sneeze every now and then and has a little bit of crust around his nose. I read that in stressful situations bunnies “snuffles” can come out of remission. He was extremely stressed during the move and was scared for quite a while. He’s still eating and seems completely fine except for the fact he’s sneezing and has a crusty nose. I try and clean his nose because I’m worried he’ll have a hard time breathing but he doesn’t tolerate it. I was wondering if this is serious or can I wait it out a bit? Also will he suffocate if I can’t really clean his nose? He seems to clean it often on his own but i’m worried he’ll still have trouble breathing.
Another thing to add is his litter is recycled paper pellets that are 99% dust free and he is no where near any air vents or windows
I’d appreciate any help!
