We have a 3wk old litter and a lonely 1 month old kit. My mother has a weird obsession with wanting all outlr rabbits to know eachother and meet, and causing weird behaviors and even nipping. Shes been putting the runt of the litter with the month old(they are unrelated) and i really dont approve of this. If the 3wk old gets too much of a different rabbits scent, wouldnt the mother reject him? Does anyone know of such things? Like i said, i personally dont like it but its not like my mom cares.
Since she introduced them, the 3wk old has been humping her littermates. Not often, but everyonce in a while she does it. At first it was just one of her littermates, now she switches between them. My only thought is that my mom takes her from the nest a lot to bond, and then with the new kit she now is more used to those smells rather than her nest. (Idk how to really explain it. When ever i bring a very new or heavy scent in my room, my gerbils (same sex pairs) kind of go nuts and hump eachother for a few days. Thats what i think is happening with the 3wk old.
