Hey, so we are moving and Daisy will have her own room, finally!

Anyway, the flooring in said room is cement, because it is supposed to be used as a storage room. I am worried that it is too hard for her, but the foam mats we have her on right now are being chewed to death. I’m hoping someone knows of an alternative because she is a big chewer, but I want her to be comfortable. As far as I know, she will chew on carpet, towels and blankets, too. Thanks in advance!

The cement would be fine. You could give her a couple timothy grass hay mats to rest on & chew. They’d be safe for her to chew and an activity for her also.

Will she have the whole room or a sectioned off pen? If she’ll be in a pen area, you could lay foam mats, then some vinyl flooring down on top both of which go under the edge of the pen so that she can’t access them to chew them. One big piece of vinyl will make it so that she can’t access edges.

I have wooden slats attached to the edge of my big bunny rug – so though she does chew the wood sometimes, she doesn’t chew the rug and make it fray… (or ugly)
I find its only the edges of the rug rather than the central part, so if you can cover them up (wooden slats to make a ‘frame’, bunny safe furniture or a cage cvovering the edge, then you should be OK)

Jersey suggestion is brill for the mats – two birds, one stone !

Vienna, that’s what RabbitPam does and it seems to be kind to their feet. I know with some of my guys, they’d just pee on a hay mat. But my single bunny boy would be okay with them.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I bought her some Timothy mats and a sort of dog mat as well for her to lay on. She has been getting at the carpet in the main room so I’ll have to monitor her very close with the dog mat and the carpet from now on!
