Hi I’m a new bunny owner. He is absolutely adorable and is pretty well behaved. He’s only like 12 weeks old. Still tries to pee on my bed but no other accidents in my room. He also likes to destroy his cage when I don’t sleep at home…. He’s a momma a boy. Anyway, I got sunburned and put aloe Vera lotion on and the bun started licking my face all over. It was cute, but I am worried that, although it was a very small amount because he just licked my face after it had soaked in already, that it might be harmful. Any thoughts?

          Welcome Bunbunmom : )

I don’t think you need to be concerned. It’s usually the gel used in these lotions and is not toxic. Aloe vera is often listed on the Toxic plants list because some parts of the plant are toxic.

Since you are a new bunny owner, keep an eye on his poop and appetite… This is a necessary & useful habit to develop now that you are a bunny slave.
