Hey Karen! Sounds like you have quite the situation (I mean, two Houdini buns! That’s crazy! lol)
I used to have two bunnies. For a little bit, they were in a six-by-six foot box that my dad made. It was two sheets of plywood with linoleum laid overtop. For walls he put two long wooden boards about three feet apart and stuck shorter boards between them to hold them together, then nailed on some more linoleum (sorry, my description is pretty lame but you get the idea?).
Eventually one of my buns started escaping by just jumping onto the wall and climbing out, so I moved them to a smaller DIY hutch. It is about 5 feet by 3 feet and it’s a sheet of plywood with scraps of linoleum nailed on (Jack, my current bun, is shredding the sheets so I need to get one big one!). Then I just have x pens nailed around the sides for a wall.
What are the dimensions of your hutches? Maybe letting them have more run around time will solve the too-small-of-a-hutch problem.
For the wire cubes, (if they’re the same thing as C and C grids like I believe…) you could make a multi-level condo with a roof. The levels for added playing, the roof to prevent Cricket and Ozil from escaping.
For the lionhead….they’re fairly small, so perhaps you could build one (or both) of the other two buns another hutch and use their old hutch for the lionhead.
Hope this helped!!!
