Hello! New to Binky Bunny officially, although I have been reading the forums for advice for a while.
I am having a hard time with my 2 male bunnies, who are father and son. We unexpectedly ended up with four bunnies because we thought that we had two females. Turns out, we were wrong, and now we have two parents and two 10 week old babies. We separated the daddy, Chewie, from the mama and babies immediately after they were born. Now that they are older, we want the whole family to be together, but Chewie is making this difficult.
We had him neutered the week the babies were born, but he is acting crazy. He still humps his girlfriend, Gal, non-stop, and although it is fruatrating, we are less worried about that as Gal can take care of herself (although if anyone has advice on this, that would also be appreciated). He seems sometimes a little too interested in the daughter, Ri, but who we’re really worried about is the little boy, Max. Whenever Chewie and Max come near each other, Chewie tries to hurt him. He will nip at Max and chase him around trying to bite him. Max had never tried to hurt Chewie, and in fact has tried to sniff and be close to his dad. The confusing part is that Chewie is the sweetest boy to humans; he is very gentle and affectionate to us, but is aggressive to other bunnies, especially his son.
Help! We really want to bond all of our bunnies together so that they can feel safe and comfortable around each other, but we don’t know what to do about Chewie’s aggression (which seems to have gotten worse since he was neutered). Any advice?
