I started using wood pellet litter as it was recommended to me because I was complaining about odor. Yes, it does a better job controlling odor, HOWEVER I hate it because it turns to dust and my bunny intentionally kicks it out everywhere!!!! She’s making such a huge mess. She did this when I was using a straw litter that turned to dust, too, which is why I had gone back to paper pellet litter after that (before trying the wood pellets). The paper pellet litter is nice because it stays in pellet form and stays in the litter box, but it does nothing to control odor.
I think I’ve probably tried every type of litter except walnut litter. (I even tried corn litter, which smelled terrible.) There was some reason I was thinking walnut litter would not be good for my bunny….is there a reason I should or should not use this? I feel like I had read that it’s dangerous or something, but now I can’t remember.
Here’s a picture of the lovely mess she keeps making.
Thanks!
Kristen
