  My little bunny leo is about 4 and a half months now and is super destructive. He will chew anything and everything! Baseboards, wires, cardboard, blankets etc. Every day I have to go into his run area a rearrange everything because everything is literally moved about and turned upside down. Even the hooks to hold the litter boxes in place do nothing. I built him his very own castle and overnight every single panel was ripped off and thrown about. He is also a very big digger! If he gets the grate off of his litter boxes he will have torn out all the bedding in seconds. I used to have a digging box with lots of bedding but it became too dusty and Im not sure what else i should use? Also Ive taken him to the vet twice and they arent exactly sure that its a boy despite what the breeder told me. Having purchased a bun off her before (theo) i assume that she knew but i know its sometimes hard to be sure. He/she has also started spraying and has peed in random areas. He isnt a big sprayer only when he had “play time” with theo which i had to stop shortly after the peeing started. Im afraid that if i wash his fleece blankets he will just spray on everything to get the scent back…
  
  Basically i just want to find out ways to encourage him to keep a cleaner space and now chew everything because its starting to rub off on theodore whom wasnt destructive before…and i would have assumed it was just hormone related but hes been this way (aside from the spraying) since i got him at 8 weeks.
  
  And if anyone can give me an idea on how to tell the gender other than feeling for the testicles that would be awesome seeing as everytime ive tried it ends with my bun running about like a mad man lol i will be returning to the vet at the beginning of june to check again but am very curious as this bun has traits of digging, spraying, humping, throwing things about, super eager and comes running for food. He was also very insistent on getting theodores attention in their last time together. He would nudge and follow him everywhere which then escalated to humping to the point where i just seperated them for now on cuz theo was a little irritated.

  Digging, spraying, humping, throwing things about, is all normal in bunny, bunnies that have not been to the vet to have their bits sorted will spray, once that is done it will stop, but digging and throwing things about is normal, an empty bowl = play toy, Olly is an 3 yea old neutered boy and he loves his blanket, if you know what I mean, it doesn’t stop them completely from putting on a show, (Olly likes to do that when I have visitors) Olly is a chewer, I did stop him chewing carpet by getting to his level and saying “No, we don’t do that here.” if he wants to chew give him some cardboard boxes with no staples or clear sticky tape, you can get them for free if you ask in shops.

  You could try holding a treat over Leo’s head, making him stand up. If he is fully standing, you may be able to see if he has testicles or not.
  
  You mentioned trying to feel for testicles. Even though rabbits don’t like to be picked up, have you tried picking him up for a quick check? Or having someone else hold him for a few seconds so that you can check? Sit on the floor when you do this, as being up in the air can be even scarier to rabbits. If he starts flailing his back legs, that can be dangerous, but maybe he would cooperate for a quick check.

  Oh trust me he has tons to chew! Lol he has tons of cardboard houses, toys, wicker mats. Even if the food dish his full he will toss the food everywhere and make a mess of the hay. Hes not satisfied till hes moved absolutley everything he can. And yes he or she will be neutered at the beginning of june once the vet is absolutely sure in the gender. He believes its a girl because he said he couldnt find anything and said it didnt look like a typical boy when he pulled the skin back. But still being unsure we are waiting another month.
  
  Tobyluv: we have tried to hold him but hes been very skittish since we got him. Hes not nearly as bad now. He even runs to me everyday and lays down for pets but when it comes to picking him up or anything like that he races out of your hands and then you cant get him without him becoming terrified. Ill definitely try the treat thing but its hard to tell because his fur is fairly fluffy in those areas and his fur is very dark there as well.
