Some of you know my two bunny girls – Brown and Grey. Yep, I am still calling them that, as they are not named yet.
Anyway, after a few nights of letting them out of their cages and not getting attacked by cats, I have now moved them out, and they run around a garden area at the back of the house. Houses here are walled on all four sides and the only way they are getting out is if they find their way to the driveway and under the gates. Before that, they need to jump over the obstacle blocking them from leaving the garden area, and they have chosen not to, even though they can.
I guess they feel secure in this place, especially with that nice long burrow like place they have in between the two buildings. Cats too seem to not have hunting instincts and the bunnies are not bothered by them much. The one in the picture is a kitten, but I have seen big ones walk across the old play area before.
The only problem now is that they seem to drink much less water. I put them in the cage at night, so they drink then, but they don’t seem to come to the cage for water, during the day. I tried putting a bowl of water on the other end of the garden, but it gets dirty real quick.
