  Hi everyone,
  
  I just put Ludwig back in his cage after he was out for a couple hours free range. He was fine going in and has been in there for a little while now, but now I’m noticing his behavior has changed. I noticed him shifting around like he was uncomfortable which immediately made me think his stomach was upset. I grabbed one of his treats (which he will always go for) but he wouldn’t take it. So I started rubbing his belly gently in case it is a gas bubble. This happened once before and after I rubbed his belly, he was okay. Is there anything else I can do or should be on the look out for? I’m really nervous this could get worse. Thanks guys!
  
  EDIT: he seems to be doing a little better. took a tiny bite of a treat. I am going to monitor him closely for now. Thank you!
  
  EDIT # 2: As of this morning, Ludwig appears to be back to his normal self! He was very excited for his pellets and his treats and his now waiting patiently by his cage door to come out. Looks like it may have been a gas bubble after all!

  If it is gas, you can continue to do the belly massages. You may also consider giving him simethicone. It certainly can’t hurt. If he doesn’t improve and stops eating/pooping, then a vet visit is warranted.

  Try to make him move around. That’s very good for gas, it sets the lower GI tract in motion and helps propel food and gas along the lenght of the intestine.

  Thanks for your comments everyone! I got up through the night to check on him and he slowly improved. When I woke up this morning he was all back to normal! He was very excited for his pellets and even more excited for his treats. Now he’s sitting by his cage door waiting to be let out! All is well
