  I brought my house bunny, Romeo, 3 days ago from a local pet store.
  
  Romeo is a one year old un-neutered male lop, I got told that he was previously brought but returned within two weeks for aggression.
  
  Since getting him home Romeo has transformed from day one (absolutely petrified, sitting frozen and looking very unhappy) to today (being the happiest boy alive, looking super relaxed and giving me kisses, yes I am stoked).
  
  I’m crazy confused as I thought I would need to litter train him, especially as he isn’t neutered. Not only Romeo using his litter trays off his own accord (I am still amazed with this little guy!) but he is showing no signs of aggression at all what so ever, he gets crazy excited when ever I’m in my room (will let accidental poops come out when he is super excited but never accidental wee’s).
  
  Is this pretty normal for a new house bunny? any input would be amazing, Romeo is my first ever bunny and I want to give him the best care possible, so in love with him already!!! Hopefully the html code has worked below so you get to see him!

  Rabbits can be litter box trained if they aren’t spayed or neutered, it’s just usually easier to accomplish if they have had their surgery and they aren’t dealing with all of those hormones.
  
  Romeo may have been aggressive in his previous home due to how he was treated there. If he had kids or adults grabbing at him, or mishandling him, or if there were other animals in the house that made him feel defensive, that could definitely cause aggression. It sounds like he is in a safe and happy home now, so there is no need for aggression. It’s normal for rabbits that are litter trained to sometimes poop outside of the box, especially if they are excited.

  Male buns can sometimes be litter-trained even if un-neutered, but it’s as Tobyluv says often a lot more trouble than litter-training a neutered male. It can also change if he gets hormonal sometime in the future. We have a few members here who have intact male house-buns. There are no health-risks involved in keeping a male bun intact, so I’m very happy for you (and Romeo!), the reasons we neuter single males are all behavioral.
