Hi all, 

I’m new to the world of house rabbits and have a question about keeping two young rabbits together. 

I currently have an 11 week old female Netherland Dwarf rabbit and things are well with her. 

I work 10 hour days so she is alone in her cage in that time but in the mornings, evenings and overnight  she’s kept outside the cage to roam wherever she wants in my apartment. 

She doesn’t seem bored but I can’t help but think she’d benefit from having a little friend so I’m thinking of getting an 8 week old mini lop. 

Would it be ideal to do this now while my rabbit is still young or wait until she’s older and de sexed to introduce a new rabbit? 

Also,  considering they’d both be young rabbits,  will the bonding process be much easier where they’ll pretty much get along from the get go? Does sex of the new rabbit matter much? Both will be de sexed eventually when they’re old enough.
