        Hi everyone!

My rabbit, Oliver ate a crocus flower. He seems fine now but I just want to check if it’ll be ok. All of the research I’ve done has said fall crocuses are extremely toxic while spring crocuses are less toxic , but can cause stomach upset. Should I do anything?

        Thanks!

How is your bunny doing? How long since he ate the crocus? Have you called a vet?

I too would like an update!

Spring crocuses are a lot less toxic than fall crocuses, that’s true. Fall crocuses are so toxic they’re called Mort de chien (death of dog) in French. But they are a different species alltogether. Wild rabbits eat crocus greens some springs, as well as (part of) tulip leaves, so even if they are toxic I think they can handle small amounts.
