Hello everyone.
Just a small question.
I’ve got a 4 year old Buck, who is neutered and lives with me in my house. Just recently I’ve felt like he may benefit from a companion. He is very timid and gentle creature. Never bitten or attack me of anything ever.
I have been searching for a friend for him and it appears that finding older a singlle rabbit lady was harder that I thought.
So I caved and bought a young baby dwaf lop that was all by herself. So at the moment I’ve been liter training her, and she’s doing very well. I wanted to know if I could have her pen in the living room, the same room as my buck. I was worried that bonding her to myself would be hard having her upstairs where not much happens.
I moved her down on trail, to see what would happen, by Buck just sat on my lap, occasionally sniffing at her. She seemed very interested and followed him around her cage.
So then I put him away and let her out. She was much bolder and jumped out straight away keen to explore and even binkyed. Previously she has just lay down and slept.
Is it ok to keep her down stairs. I eventually want them to be pals, but I am waiting for her to be old enough yo neuter. I am planning on having bunny dates at my friends house on compleatlyneutral soil.
I’m just wondering if this is ok. I was planning on also swooping their pens over and mixing it up.
My buck just seems interested in me… He’s a sweety
Regards Abby
