  Hello Everyone,
  
  So I have a 7 month old intact dwarf male rabbit. He’s cute, cuddly and loving (comes when I call him, licks me, lets me pick him up) UNTIL my husband comes to the room!! It’s like a demon bunny possesses him and he becomes aggressive and afraid. He jumps in the air and kicks him while growling and one time he bit him and drew blood, then runs away all the while launching poops from his butt lol . And when I try to mediate, i get growled at too. Now my husband has never done anything bad to him, he always was nice to him, pets him and gives him treats. I like to point out that this began happening around 2-3 months ago, so maybe it’s a hormonal thing? Or he doesn’t like the hubby because he’s male too? I’m not sure. I also want to mention that we have another 2 year-old female dwarf we rescued recently, she was pregnant when we got her so we couldn’t bond them right away. She lives in a hutch separate from him, she gave birth last week so until we find the babies homes, we won’t be bonding them. He’s friendly to her nonetheless, always tries to get her attention but she ignores him
  
  Anyways, any advice on bonding my human and rabbit studs is appreciated

  It sounds hormonal to me. He is probably being possessive of you. Neutering should help calm him down. You’ll want to do that and spay the girl too anyway if you want to bond them.

  Definitely agreeing that it sounds like hes possessive of you. My Blue is the same way with me around our other rabbits. If he sees me giving them more attention than he feels im giving him, he will start acting out

  Thanks for your replies guys, i already tried to go the neutering way but i couldn’t find a vet here that would do it; in my country rabbits are not commonly kept as pets, so neutering them is not common practice. The best i could do is get him vaccinated but that’s about it. I was hoping to find a way to better their relationship naturally?

  Dont put your male and female together again unless you want more babies then. I dont think theres much of a way to get your husband and your bunny to bond in a natural way if they havent already. You can try stress bonding them, but ive not heard that between a bunny and a human before lol
  
  Your husband should sit in a small tub or box with your bunny in a neutral room (room where your bunny has never been before). If your bunny attacks your husband, you or your husband should shake the box a little to startle him and get him to stop. If you decide to try it in the bath tub, you should make a loud noise (clapping works for my bunnies) to get your bunny to stop attacking, and your husband should make a “yip” sound. Try that a few times and see if that helps at all

  I agree there’s no way you can stop your bunnies from having more babies unless you have at least one of them de-sexed. If that’s not possible you simply can’t let the bunnies spend even a minute together.
  
  It does sound like your male is “in love” with you and wants you for himself. If you hubby decides to try and bond with your male, he should wear gloves, long sleeves and long pants and shoes. It’s the bunny that goes in the box, not your hubby. This is a method for bonding two bunnies that don’t particularly like each other, the idea is to add something that scares the bunnies (like run a vacuum-cleaning) so they seek comfort in each other. I don’t know if your bun will seek comfort in your hubby, but if your hubby wears protective gear, he can show the bunny that aggression gets him nowhere, the hubby stays put and is not scared off (the bunny thinks he’s succeeded in scaring an opponent away if the opponent leaves). Don’t punish the rabbit, just don’t let him get away with being a bully.
  
  This is mostly hormone-driven imo, and that’s not really sth you can get rid of with training. It might subside to an extent as the bunny gets older, bunnies just like humans don’t stay teen-agers forever.
