white spot in rabbits eye?

  this is my bun’s eye http://i.imgur.com/QT7FXjJ.jpg you can see the white spot just in the corner.
  
  booking him into the exotics vet, but they have a bit of a waiting list. so took him to another one in the meantime, and they gave some antibiotic cream to go into his eye to apply 6-8 times a day (thats why his eye looks a bit weepy but its just the cream) and to bring him back if no improvement in 3 days.
  
  however this vet was not very rabbit savvy and could only say it might be an eye infection. has anyone had this happen to their bun? what is it? do suspect my bun is elderly and has very bad teeth due to a bad start. he seems fairly normal – is laying around a bit more than usual tho. still has an appetite. tia

  Chom gets this on occasion. The vet said it was from a hair or something in his eye, and it was the eye’s defense or something. It was ages ago and I can’t remember the explanation. But she told me it was nothing to worry about, and when it gets in the corner like that to wipe it away with a tissue. He never had an issue and it happens rarely still, but he always appears fine.
  
  But that may have been in our case. If you are unsure about this vet take him to a better one. Rabbits are so much different than other animals, and finding a good vet that knows what they are talking about and the ones you trust are KEY.
