Hi all,
I have had a search through the archives and can’t find an answer for this particular query.
We’ve had our bun Theodore for 2 months now and have decided to get him pet insurance. In the UK we only have 5 providers to chose from and we’ve decided to go for PetPlan which provides a max of £2000 per year in vet fees and £750 for complementary treatments which includes hydrotherapy, physio etc.
This is all fine except this doesn’t sound like a lot to me in the case where our Theo became very sick or injured e.g. a broken leg or something – especially when cats for example can be insured for up to like £15,000 per year.
Pet insurance is new to me – and I have no idea on how much illnesses etc are likely to cost so I have no idea if this insurance is comprehensive enough, although it is the most comprehensive I could find.
Does anyone have any advice/tips they could offer me? Money’s not super tight but I don’t ever want to be in a situation where Theo needs veterinary help and I would be financially unable to help him.
Thanks in advance
