  Vet recommend to move her spay for tomorrow since she is completely fine from her sneezing last week. And is still on antibiotics and it would be better for her to not have to be bother her twice with meds…
  
  I am getting really nervous, spatially after reading all about Harlow and Willow troubles.
  I know spay for does is also for their health, but I still cant shake the feeling I’m betraying her… and not to mention how scared I’m about her reacting to all of it.

  Wishing your girl a (((Safe Procedure))) and ((((Speedy Recovery)))).
  
  I know it’s very stressful. Just try to think of all the bunnies who get spayed and have no problems at all and try to keep busy. When my buns are at the vet for a procedure, I always take that time and clean their condos really well. Keep me busy and it’s a good idea for a bunny that will have an incision to be in a very clean house.

  Harlow did have a lot of problems with her food afterwards, but I’m starting to believe that it was her just being the Diva she is! She would only eat food out of your hand, and when she started getting all her favorite treats she didn’t give her pellets a chance. My vet recommended stopping the veggies and to focus on getting her hay and her food into her system. And if she wasn’t doing well that day, to then resort to the “candy” that night. She was syringe fed for four days. The first two with applesauce & critical care mix. The last two with water critical care and water pellet mix. I slowly went from hand feeding her hay, to just setting it on the ground as apposed to her rack and she started munching completely on her own. We were syringe feeding her water too, but she realized she could drink more out of her bowl and got impatient with that.
  
  It has been a week as of today, and Harlow is back to eating her pellets completely on her own and her normal amount, and eating just as much hay! I haven’t syringe fed her in two days!
  She babied herself when she was sick because she knew her mommy would spoil her. It really scared me at first. But everything is fine now!
  
  Wishing Bianca a safe procedure and a speedy recovery. Hopefully she doesn’t give you as many problems as Harlow did me. In a way it brought us so much closer and I think has really improved her trust in me. We’ve always gotten along wonderfully, but she seems more confident in being around me.

  She is at the vet now, and Redford and I already did the cleaning, I washed everything with hot water, and of course gave her a clean blankies and stuff, even changed the memory foam under them…
  I did the same thing when Redford was at his procedure. It really helps get your mind at ease a bit, spatially when you know you are making everything to be as confie as posible.
  
  Also prepared all her favourite food, toys and fresh veggies. And now we wait.
  She to has that “diva” moments so I really hope we won’t have much problem with eating, but in any case I have prepared for that too.
  
  As I said now we wait.

  She will most likely be tired and may just want to be left alone. My Olivia was in pretty bad shape when she got home. I was so worried. She was just laying down and didn’t want to eat or move. It was hard to see her like that but she recovered and was back to normal in a few days. Just be prepared for a tired bunny who will be in some pain (make sure vet gives you pain meds). It is a pretty major surgery so she won’t be feeling good, for sure. Hopefully, you won’t have trouble getting her to eat.

  waiting is the hardest part. Will your vet call you when she awakes to update you?
  
  Harlow was very sluggish the first two days. Sprawled all out and laid on her side. It was cute, but I knew how bad she was hurting so it wasn’t fun to watch. But by the third day she was acting a lot more like her normal self!

  Yhea, they will call me when she wakes up but will keep her till they see if she will decide to eat at least something. And check on her generally.
  I will be sure to ask for pain meds for her.
  
  Our vet is really good and they havent lost a bunny yet so that keeps me at ease too.
  
  Ill get more blankies ready for her to warm them if needed be and keep her as comfortable as I can till she rest.

  Bianca didn’t get spayed today.
  They had an emergency operation on a bunny and it was matter of life and death. Of course I understand that. Bunny in question is recovering now.
  
  Anyway Biancas spay is tomorrow and they told me that it would be less stressful for her not travel tonight and tomorrow again so she will be staying for the night there. Also they promised me that she’ll be in a large crate and in a separate room with birds.
  
  I brought her hay and food she is used to for the night, just in case. Couldn’t just leave her like that.

  Aweh. Maybe this is a good thing. She’ll be familiar with the new place and wont be so freaked out after surgery. At least you got to visit with her!

  Yey, just got off the phone with her vet and she is waking up! His exact words translated to English where: “Everything is fine, she is waking up right now and is like a dragon.”. Lol
  
  I can pick her up in about 2 hours. Can’t wait, my poor little girl!

  She is home!
  Laying most of the time, changing positions, but overall seems like normal and good after spay.
  Already cleaning herself, and eat a good pice of an apple and sniffed and nibbled on few straws of hay. There is literally one poop there for now (might be one or two more but didn’t want to bother her in her space to check that yet) and she pied a little.
  She is moving around, mostly between worm water bottle, litter box and hrr favorite resting place and floping.
  
  Vet gave her pain killers, and gonna give her one more dose tomorrow on her check up, and then decide on dosage from there on. But she won’t be without them.

  Aaagh… Kuwait got hit by a huge rainstorm so my internet is on the fritz. I’m sorry I missed her big day(s) but am super glad she’s in dragon mode and Chewie and I are sending lots of love.

  Thak you guys this meant a lot to us. Everything is much easier with little support.
  
  She is much better now, I would say she is alredy at 80% of her old self. Eating, drinking, pooping, cleaning herself… Yesterday while I was laying next to her she set a bit, yawn and flopped with her had first in a happy bunny flop.
  Her check up at vet went smoothly. And far as pain meds go she seems to like the taste lol so no problem with force feeding. But I have never seen her so scare when we got to the vet. I felt sooo guilt.
  
  Also later on when we got back and she seemed a bit lethargic I let Redford come by and say hi trough the bars since they had already been introduced to each other that way. She got up, came to the bars and they exchanged kisses and she just turned other way and went to munch a nice amount of hay. I was so happy. Don’t know did Redford really helped there but it really looked so.

  Yes it looked like he told her everything is going to be fine, she just need to eat some.
