Although I’m not the best gardener (in any way), we’re still doing one. We’ll be doing raised beds since our ground is SOOOOO wet and clay-ey, so it’s terrible for growing. Anyways, we’ve already started some of our seeds, so by the time it’s warm enough they’ll be strong enough to go outside. We are growing them in home-made “mini greenhouses”. Here’s how we do them:
We take paper cups and fill them with dirt and seed and then we water them. Then you cover them will clear plastic wrap (generally in the baking isle or ziplock bag isle). Voila, a mini greenhouse! Then, if you buy salad mixes in those plastic containers with the thin plastic on top you can peel back, you just fill those with some dirt, plant your seeds and keep them moist. Keeping them in containers like these keep them moist for longer, warmer, ect.
Anyway, what are you planning on growing? Anything for the buns? Any tips and tricks we can share? Let’s talk garden.
So far we are started tomatoes, eggplants, cilantro, lettuce, pumpkins. (maybe a few other things, it’s hard to remember)
We’ll also be planting Carrots, Corn, Cucumbers, Squash, Zucchini beans and peas and spinach and a few other things soon.
