Just wondering where you buy your bulk Timothy Hay, I can only seem to find timothy/alfalfa mix and the bunnies do not like it.

I have been buying it though my work for 25$ for 9lb bags but with 4 bunnies I seem to be going though it quickly

Just wondering if there is an online store that is cheaper

        Thanks in advance!

Do you have Tractor Supply stores in Canada? They are all over the south and for $18 US you can get enough hay to feed 4 rabbits for half a year.

I just found two sources of hay yesterday! Richie Feed ‘N Seed sells individual bales of hay. It’s second cut, mainly timothy, with some alfalfa, clover, brome and orchard grass. It’s horse hay. They also have smaller bales of plain timothy. They provide bags to transport it in.

The Old Co-op sells individual bales too. Not sure of the cut, etc. A co-worker gets it for her guinea pigs.

Also, many farmers seem to advertise on Kijiji. The one in my area who advertises individual bales for sale for small pets took their ad down recently. I think they ran out!

I was on the hunt for hay as I know the agricultural price of it, and live in prime hay country (!), so I was sick of paying pet store prices. As I have decreased Cincinnati’s pellets (as per vet instructions), he has been eating five times as much hay, and Daisy has always been a big hay eater… She tried to break into one of the containers I put the flakes in last night.

Good luck! I recommend feed stores and Kijiji.
