I need help! My bunnies left eye is a beautiful blue colour but on the top of her eye it has changed there is discolouration of a brown colour. It is only on the top and has not spread much further. She been to the vet (2 different vets) the first was unsure and could not tell me, the other was a little worried in case it was iris melanoma. After searching ourselves we believe it is marbeled eye. We are awaiting to hear from an eye specialist but was hoping for some feedback from anyone on here who could help. We are worried as we don’t know what it is, especially after being told the worst case scenario. Our vets are happy to take the eye out but that is the last thing we want for our gorgeous girl.

Eyes with two different colours in the same eye, often blue and brown are not uncommon with vienna marked rabbits. Looks like marbled eyes to me
I know that with dogs who may have one blue, one brown eye, you don’t know that the one eye is going to be brown until they get to a certain age because both eyes start off blue. So it’s possible that depending on the age of your rabbit it’s only just developed as she’s matured.
