  Hi there guys! Its been a while since I posted last. Last time I poseted was when Lux got her lady parts removed in the beginning of december and since then she has been such a happy bunny and a lot nicer and potty trained. When she runs around for an hour or so she may leave a couple poops here and there but 100x better . I on the other hand lost my father 4 weeks ago while surprising my mom for chirstmas in Florida. The worst day of my life . Im feeling better about it but it still sucks.
  
  Anyways my questions are the following if you guys can help out please.
  
  1. Lux is shedding like crazy!!!! She is 7 months old I believe and this has been going on for about a month. When will it stop? Her cage is full of hair everyday that I take out.
  
  2. She is litter trained except she sits in the litter box and pees into her water bowl or behind it all the time and it stinks and makes her litter all wet. How do I train her to drink out of the water bottle and not the bowl? I much rather do that. The person I got her from said that she was drinking from the water bottle for her first two months of life but I think she probably forgot.
  
  3. I have been mixing oxbow food and kaytee food for the last 3 months and she is just running out of the mixture. I bought regular kaytee food for junior rabbits and was wondering since she only has one more night of the mixture left if I can just put her on a mix of adult rabbit food and junior?
  
  4. Also when will I be able to let her be a free range rabbit or be able to take her out and have her jsut cuddle with us. She will sit with us for like 2-3 minutes then jump off the couch and run around. We want to be able to cuddle and watch tv with her.

  1. Shedding is normal. Big shed happens 2 times a year. They shed here and there all year round (as long as it isn’t caused by mites or there diseases)
  2. i don’t see a problem switching to a bottle from a bowl. When a rabbit is thirsty, she will find a way to get water. Just guide her to the spot, by squeezing water drops out.
  3.Careful about switching pellets. It can cause digestive problems.
  4.Hard to say. Different rabbits do different thing, they are not like dogs or cats. My rabbit likes to binky onto the couch with us 80% for food, 20% when she just want to chill and sit next to us or on top of the couch. They tend to like to be mobile when they are outside of their cage.
  As long as the rabbit is litter trained and the room is rabbit proof, free range is not a problem.

  Hey! So sorry to hear about your dad. I take it you live near him and left to visit your mom?
  
  Hmm, she’s 7 months so her adult coat could be coming in too.
  
  You can simply switch out the bottle and see what happens. If she doesn’t drink for awhile, show her where it is like skysblue suggested.

  Thank you guys and yes he lvied down the street from me. We are slowly going to introduce kaytee adult bunny food mixed in with her kaytee junior food like we did with the oxbow and kaytee food. Shes used to the Kaytee Junior so mixing some adult in there should be ok.

  I too think she’ll be fine with the Kaytee since you’ll do the transition slowly.
  I have lately started to use a lint roller on my buns when they shed. I brush off what I can with a self-cleaning slicker. Then I lint-roll. I use a generic lint-roller, name brands have stickier glue and that’s too sticky for a bun. My buns don’t seem to mind the lint rolling. I find it practical because it doesn’t leave all those fluffy hairs flying around in your home, but you’ll have to use quite a few sheets of sticky paper.
  
  Young buns are enegetic and like to run around a lot, do binkies and zoomies etc. But as they mature, they become calmer and more interested in long cuddle sessions.
