Basically, I’m currently bonding nibbles and magic, two neutered males, although magic has only been neutered in the past month/2 months and is around 7 months old.
So far it has been going well to an extent, nibbles immediately offered to be the submissive out of the two, whether this was because magic is more recently entire I can’t tell. However, magic wanted to make a point and repeatedly humped nibbles, nibbles accepted this for a while but eventually after some time he got angry and bit him causing a bit of a scuffle, this whole situation has happened a couple of times when introducing them. Today when giving them their 15 mins of time together, I didn’t allow magic to hump him, nibbles immediately ducks his head and sits quiet at magic clearly submitting so if magic tried to hump him I gave a simple no command, it worked and nibbles groomed magic after 10 minutes. Looking back on it I can see it may be too much of an interference and have read plenty of times to try and not get involved too much, I think it was a quick impulse reaction from me as I was nervous of them fighting again. Is this ok to do? Should I be stopping magic from humping or is it something that nibbles needs to accept if he is to be the submissive rabbit?
Thanks for any help.
