Thanks, Bam.

Those poops that you posted look like Pete’s “stress poops” that he would get after being scared or us upsetting his routine too much. They generally only lasted a couple hours to a day, depending on what happened… and some chamomile and dandelion seemed to sort it out for him quickly.

I’m not overly concerned about Duncan yet since they’re still basically normal size and he’s making a ton of them, but it was an obvious change in shape with no real noticeable cause… It’s just been a rough year for our furry friends this year, and in our family we lost 3 cats and Pete just this year. I guess I’m just trying to get a jump on identifying anything that could be a potential health issue since I know how well cats and bunnies can hide the fact that they’re not feeling 100%.

He and Tilly are cuddling upstairs after a long grooming session, so all is well and normal it seems… I’ll just keep an eye out for more changes.

No picture this morning, but update on the poos…
The teardrop shapes have continued, they are full size poos and normal numbers, but now they are a bit darker and several of them have a greasy feel to them. Duncan is still binkying and zooming and chinning everything in sight. He even chinned me this morning! He ran around for a little bit this morning and then ran back upstairs to cuddle with Tilly.

This morning Tilly did her running in the bedroom since we slept in past the start of their normal run-time. They got their breakfast pellets late, too, but were excited and did little half binkies while I got the pellets out to feed them. Their litter box looks like it’s getting it’s normal amount of use and no real messes in the bunny-room (past lots of hay and Tilly-fur… She’s still shedding).

I’ll be keeping an eye on him and try to figure out why his poos are getting darker, despite all the hay I’ve seen disappear into his little face over the last 24hrs…

We didn’t do any bonding session yesterday, and don’t expect to do any in the next 2 days due to the holiday and having family in and out. Tomorrow we’ll actually be gone most of the day with family but will be here for their breakfast and dinners… and they’ll be getting some running room thanks to our new pet-gates.

So tonight there’s a little update.
The poos are returning to their normal shape, but still are darker and slightly greasy.
He stayed upstairs when we had a little company over earlier, but came down once they were gone. He did a string of binkies and then nipped Tillys bum and started circling her before getting distracted by one of his own poos… After, he and Tilly were perfectly fine and played a bit of tag around the living room before returning upstairs for evening pellets and snuggles.

I think whatever caused the points on the poops may have passed or is passing; now just to keep an eye on the greasiness and getting the fiber content up.

Yeah, greasiness does generally go hand and hand with poop marking… Tilly does that very well. These don’t have his normal onion musk on them from marking though; they’re just greasy.. so maybe lazy marking? Or distracted marking? Like he’s only putting in part of the effort? I dunno.

He’s starting to have bits and pieces of lighter poo mixed in this evening, so whatever it was I am assuming was just a minor upset and is passing.

I’ll have to get more pictures posted soon.. I know I’ve kind of slacked off on that in the last few months.

Dunnys poos are back to normal.. a mix of round poos with roundish greasy-marking poos…
Tilly, however, is still finishing up her shed and has had some doubles and strings of pearls due to the extra fur and the fact that she likes to lay around more than move. Everyone seems healthy and Duncan has been doing stings of binkies through the room at zooming speed and it’s goofy and adorable. ^_^
