I think I figured out her color at least! I think she is a chestnut agouti, but I believe this is just a color, and not an actual breed…I’m trying to figure it out. From what I read, she has all the markings of chestnut agouti, including the orange triangle between the shoulders.

Sounds like agouti to me. But agouti coloring can be found in many breeds. It’s also the coloring to wild rabbits. How are you trying to attach the pictures? Through the upload function? If they are larger than 500kb, they won’t attach. You have to size them down. Or like Tobyluv said, use Photobucket.

I think it must just be that I’m using my phone. I have tried 3 sharing sites now, including photobucket, and none of them have worked. I can’t upload directly either, even if I were to resize, as my phone just says the plug in is not supported. If I post a direct link, does that mean people could at least click on it and see the picture?

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for fixing them! Isn’t she precious? Is a dewlap the puffy part under her neck I was trying to describe? Could that be another sign of what breed she is? It doesn’t seem like all rabbits have that.

That dewlap! I’d say she definitely has some Flemish in her, just because of the skull and eye shape. But her coloring is a bit off for a Flemish, unless a grep, blue and black got mixed together.

Either way she is a pretty lady! What body type does she have? That can be an important indicator for identifying her breed!

I took a look at that chart. It is kind of hard to tell, because whenever I’m around her, Happy is either bouncing around and playing, or flopped over on her side relaxing. I want to say she’s in between semi-arch and commercial. I think it’s very likely she’s a mix, so maybe her body type really could be in the middle of two types. Or perhaps I just need to look at more photos of bunnies with each bost type, and learn how to more accurately identify which is which. Lol

Thanks everyone! The main reason I wanted to try to figure out her breed, or mix of breeds, is just to read up about them, and learn more about possible traits that Happy might have. Now today I have someplace to start, and I think I will start with reading about the Flemish Giant, and go from there. I am especially interested to find out if they are known to be a more affectionate breed. From what reading I have done already about rabbits in general, I am thinking I really hit the jackpot with Happy. She has been affectionate with me from day one, and continues to get more affectionate every day. She loves being petted, licks me all the time, comes when I call her, and even jumps into my lap! She lets me kiss her face, and lets the kids pet her, and although she doesn’t like it, she tolerates being picked up and held pretty well. She is also doing pretty well with litter training. She has only had one pee accident, and although she leaves droppings outside the box, she leaves more of them inside her boxes. I am a very lucky rabbit mom!
