Hi all,
I have had my Molly and Holly over a year now, I rescued them from a lady who no longer wanted them (how she couldn’t want them is beyond me, but that’s a whole other storey.) My girls are house rabbits, they have their own bedroom and play around the house at night with my supervision. When Molly first joined our family I noticed she wouldn’t eat her veg, slowly over a few weeks she allowed me to look at her mouth and low and behold no front teeth, just gums. So everything now has to be cut into tiny pieces. Molly was around 1 when she came to live with us and the previous “owner” mentioned nothing about having them removed. She has also been to the vets who has given her a clean bill of health, she too cannot understand why she has no teeth but wasn’t concerned as she eats well and is perfectly healthy and happy.
Over the past few months I have noticed a little white “tooth” in Molly’s mouth I have taken a video see attached. Its not the best but you will get the idea, neither girls will let me look at their teeth properly. You can see its a very small spec not a rabbit tooth at all. At our check up and vaccine the vet again checked and wasn’t worried.
My girl is healthy and happy but I just wondered if anyone else had, had a similar experience.
Note the fence in the video is to stop Molly and Holly meeting Polly (my cat.) While very friendly you can never trust 100%.
