Help!! my Bun pees on the carpet no matter what!

  Hello Everyone!! Its Springtime in the middle of December in Ohio!
  
  Winnie is 100% litter box trained when she is in her cage. She has no accidents ever in her cage. When I get off of work at 5, she has full range and play time until I go to bed at like 2 in the morning, she plays all night. I have her cage in my bedroom, and when I am home I just open her cage and put her ramp up against it so she has full access to her cage all night. My rabbit pees on the carpet in a certain corner area. When i put the litter box there, she will find a different place to pee on the carpet. Even when I clean/ disinfect and put white vinegar on the spot she will still pee there. My room is not super huge, but its big enough for her to have enough room to play all night. Eventually I would like for her to roam my house but as of now i cant cause she wont use the litter box when she is out of her cage. Ive tried leaving her litter box in her cage as well, as she goes in her cage every now and then to eat and drink water or lounge, but she will not use the litter box at all, when she knows she is aloud out to play. Im getting her spayed in March and I am really hoping that solves the problem. Has anyone had the same problem? Any advice on what I should do? Do you think the spaying will solve that problem?

  It is really difficult to litter-train an intact bunny, they have a strong urge to mark their territory. I can see how frustrating it must be though. Could you perhaps make a play-pen for her and cover the carpet with something like tiles in the pen? My only other solution would be that you cover the carpet esp in the corners with small cheap ragrugs that are easy to wash. If she pees on those, it probably won’t penetrate to the carpet if you catch it before she’s peed multiple times in the same spot.

  Thanks so much for the reply! I had put down some really old tee shirts in the corner and she pees on those So your saying the spaying will definitely help with the marking? I want my bun to roam free eventually! I read on another thread somewhere you had said your bun sleeps at the foot of your bed and wakes you up with kisses! That is my Bunny goal “D

  There are no guarantees though that spaying a bun will completely eridicate marking-behavior. Chances are good though that the marking will be greatly reduced.
  It is great to have a bun sleeping at the foot-end of your bed But it took us some time to get there, in the beginning he slept under the bed :/
  He’s never peed in my bed but there has been the odd poops.

  Fox had begun peeing all over the floor, when we got him spayed it stopped completely.

  Thats is amazing! I hope the spaying fixes all that with Winnie!!
